Convert to Bermuda from SA?

I originally went with SA in my large backyard because of all the trees and the large amount of shade. Now that I have removed tons of trees and the yard gets tons of sunlight, I have thought of switching to bermuda due to it requiring less water, less work and being more disease resistant. I have t...

Re: Gravely or Scag?

I have a ZT HD52 and love it! I have about an acre and half of far from manicured and smooth lawn and it seems to be holding up well. I have had it about 6 years now and have really had no problems out of it. It has the Kawasaki engine, FR730 I believe.

Re: Bassadict69's 2020 Soil Tests

Yes, the back has had I think two years of lime, I believe it was dolomitic. This is the first year I am getting serious on the front.

LSU Ag suggested a rate of 2.29 lbs per 100 square feet.

SOP?

Re: Show your Corona stock pile

I hit academy and stockpiled some Zoom Finesse Worms in different colors as well as hooks and weights, just in case I get quarantined! Living on a lake has advantages at times!

Bassadict69's 2020 Soil Tests

Here are my latest soil test results for my front lawn and then my back lawn. It looks like after fighting low pH in the back, it is now too high. This will be the first year to really start working on the front. MEHLICH3 for both... FRONT YARD St. augustine pH (1:1 Water) 5.75 Low Phosphorus, ppm 3...

Chapin sprayer not spraying well...

I have the battery operated sprayer and the sprayer sprays with very little, sometimes almost no, pressure. I have pulled the tip and cleaned everything I can find to clean.

The pump just doesn't sound right when spraying...any ideas or things I can check?

Bassadict69's 2020 Lawn Journal

Getting a BAD late start this year... Finally got around to pulling my soil samples to send off to LSU. I then sprayed the property with a mix of Prodiamine/celsius, Part of my property is under a highline that has always been really thick with St Augustine. The last couple years it has been thinnin...

Re: 2020 | What did you do with your lawn today?

Pulled my soil samples and sprayed my whole property with prodiamine with celcius mixed in. For part of my property which is under a highline that has gotten worse with weeds lately, I also mixed some Image in...not sure if that was a mistake or not, guess we will see.
