Re: Firearms of TLF

I have to second the kydex/leather combo. Any of the previously suggested would be good (aliengear, crossbreed, whitehat). One thing i'd say is appendix carry is really uncomfortable. I'm not a large guy, but i'm not sporting a six pack either (6', 210 - 32-32 waist). The appendix carry was the wors...

This is purely my own anecdotal evidence, my 90lbs dog did not have any affect on spring green-up last year. I wouldn’t think the grass would be taking up any nitrogen from the urine while it’s dormant, but I do not have the pro-level knowledge others here possess.
I'd concur.

Re: Bermuda Winterkill and Cold Tolerance.

winterkill and bermuda .. interesting those aren't two words i've ever seen used in the same sentence. Unless Yukon is different than most cultivars, you'll be fine. The grass will go dormant, not die, if it hasn't already and single digit temps are fine. Just continue along as you normally would in...

Re: Mclane, Roller or no roller?

My current advice to someone looking at McLane mowers is to pick up a GM 1000 retiring from a golf course. That is what I did 5 years ago. Never looked back. Modified it to correctly mow grass above 1/8" HOC . Can you expand on this? The range is up to 1" on the 1000. I understand the clip rate sho...

Re: Firearms of TLF

DFW friends. Sometimes I'll see this price for the Federal bulk box at Walmart too but if you're close to Gun Grabber this ain't bad. I can barely reload for that cost (even though I get a better product) :) https://grabagun.com/remington-9mm-115gr-fmj-train.html I work a few miles from GrabAgun. G...

Re: Different Shades of Bermuda

ok 1st Why in the hell did your builder sod your home in common bermuda. A trip to home depot and a bag of seeds would have done just as good for a fraction. What it does tell me is that your builder was cheap and cut corners to maximize profit. You're exactly right. I asked when we met with our Fo...

Re: Other "Smart Stow" Type Mowers?

heh... did you tell her to find a smaller footprint washer and dryer so as to not take up as much space in the laundry room? Unless, you're wanting a small footprint rotary to free up room for a cylinder/reel mower? I can go along with that, because that's my argument to keep the rotary when i get a...

Has anyone here replaced sights on a glock with night sights? I replaced the ones on my shield with Ameriglo 3 dots, but I think i want to try something different for the g19.

Anyone have suggestions or expierience with some nights they really like.

Re: Bourbon Fans?

Back when I lived in Cali, a 1.75 L of Maker's Mark was $35 at Costco.. It was a hard price to beat for a good wheated bourbon. Now that I live in Houston, all the liquors carry Weller Special Reserve for $32 after tax. It's my new favorite decanter whiskey. I miss being able to buy liquor at Costc...

TLF has taken another victim. Ugh oh are they junk or something? No, you misunderstood and/or i wasn't exactly clear with my "joke". i just mean this forum has a way to influence people to buy equipment, products, and other things that they hadn't originally thought about or were going to wait to b...

Re: A Tale of Two Lawns

i've used the "would you expect this to be in front of a model home" approach before and it worked well for me. in fact, we had to contact our builders warranty department recently (well after the warranty period) because of tile grout issues we've had in our master shower. They brought in several d...

Re: Leveling a Bermuda Lawn

Hello all, We just bought new construction last month. We had the sod installed for a hefty upgrade throughout our lot instead of just seed in the back half. However, I have watched them install sod on the new homes and they are not rolling after laying the pieces. My yard will twist your ankle if ...

Re: Measuring Prodiamine WDG

technically, ounces by weight and liquid ounces are different. I've seen some people say that they are usually fairly close in measurement, but i have not tested that theory myself.

I use a kitchen scale to measure by weight, and a marked/dedicated vessel for liquid measurements.

Re: 2018 - Warm Season - What did you do with your lawn today?

Yesterday...I cut my lawn front and back then I cut two of my neighbors lawns  not as pretty as mine but a decent job for sure. One neighbor thought he needed to use my pull behind aerator but his ZTR didn't have a tow hitch and I convinced him he didn't need to. He was edging so I said what...
