Re: Simazine (Princep Liquid) for Poa

Quick question: Will Simazine (Princep Liquid) effectively kill Poa? Approximately how long will it take to kill the Poa? At the moment I’m unable to pick up any Negate 37 from SiteOne in Huntsville. Negate 37 would be my first choice effective/cost efficient herbicide. What I can tell you for sure...

Re: Bermuda Fertilizer and Crabgrass Advice

The likelihood of having mature crabgrass in Austin right now is slim to none. What you are seeing is a winter grassy weed. Without better pics I'd guess Orchard grass or Italian rye grass. Oh interesting. The non-bermuda grass has a single clump with a some thick shoots at the base like a St Augus...

Yard cart

I'm looking for a yard cart like the one @wardconnor had on his leveling video. I'm trying to hook it to my John Deere La115 if that matters any

Re: GCI Turf Sprayer Nozzle Assembly

Can’t comment too much on the engineering or anything that goes with the nozzle assembly. I’ll say I was one who got pulled into buying one last Summer. I’ve sprayed Glyphosate using the “8ft flood” or whatever it is... took me no time to spray 5k sq ft and I had about 98% kill if not more. Not sur...

Re: Tow boom sprayer

The dye is expensive to use over a large area depending on how much you need to mix in order to make the spray visible. The darker green and taller your turf is, the more dye you will need. And yes, the stuff can be very messy! Foam markers are an expensive investment up front, unless you can cobbl...

Re: PGR on mixed bermuda types

@CenlaLowell sorry, I’m not following - I only see one rate for St. Augustine... 0.10-0.15 oz per thousand for “Residential and Commercial Turf”. Well, two if you count the edging/banding rates. That is for spraying along fences, etc to reduce the need for trimming. Thanks, I thought the amount of ...

Re: PGR on mixed bermuda types

How did you figure this out? meaning grass height to amount of PGR needed. I'm keeping my lawn at 2.5, I have common Bermuda and St Augustine. It’s all in the rate table on the label. https://i.postimg.cc/rF7NDg21/1-BEDFF1-D-3536-4-BAE-AA74-402-B727-B65-AA.jpg So St Augustine cut at 0.5 would need ...

Re: PGR on mixed bermuda types

...What would you guys suggest? Should I go with the .25 that it suggests for 419 or go with the .75 for common, or maybe meet in the middle at .5? The 0.25 oz/M rate for 419 is for HOC's at 0.5" or less. The rate for 419 at the HOC's you're planning on is 0.38 oz/M. To be safe, I would recommend s...

Re: Which users have large lawns??

Who all uses a fairway style mower? How do y’all fertilize? What type of sprayer? I’m wanting to transform my back few acres from weed central to all common Bermuda. I’ve started this spring with my first apps of pre emergent, and will be spraying some post emergent soon. I’ve noticed having large ...

Re: TeeJet Nozzle Discussion

I have to spend a 25$ minimum. What are some good quick connect caps and or accessories I should get as well. My cart has the 2 nozzles that @Ware mentions. I use AIC and XRC for just about everything I spray. It's definitely a personal preference thing. Order a bunch and try them out. Most are bet...
