Re: is there a pre emergent for virginia buttonweed?

Even if your neighbor didn't have any, VB is a multi year project to eradicate and even then you may never be completely rid of it. When I moved back into my house 2 years ago the lawn was covered with it in places. I've knocked out 95% of it using alternating apps Blindside, MSM and Celsius but be...

Re: Cenlalowell Bermuda kill off trial

End of the season review. First, this combination of chemicals does work for SUPPRESSION. there will not be any kill off of Bermuda what so ever. So the goal here is to see how much I can The St Augustine to take over. Since this is a spring time combination I will spray next year in March and April...

Re: What’s the story on Bermuda + Rye?

I just Spread ryegrass maybe 7 days ago to keep nutrients in the soil since I killed off all of the st aug to prep for Bermuda. It grows super fast. Literally threw this down 7 days ago. https://i.postimg.cc/WbNBNbWf/3-BF1-FE6-C-D42-F-46-CB-9-C38-27-D9364-C3-E20.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/cLHGm4f8/3-...

Re: Should I use Celsius on this SA?

First welcome to TLF

I would say identify your weeds first before just spraying a herbcide.

First look here

http://thelawnforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5

Yes Celsius works on SA, but it's weed specific just like other herbicides.

Good luck

Re: Ybravo 21

From what I read, they fixed a few issues from the first generation machines when they did the second gen. I still would guess the first gen would still be a pretty good machine. I got lucky and the john deere dealership was sitting on mine for 850 days in stock, so I got it for $800 Canadian which...

I would just ask him to spray his yard. MSM is cheap and goes a hell of a long way.

I believe Virginia buttonweed is perennial so there is no pre-m for it.
You are correct there

Re: is there a pre emergent for virginia buttonweed?

I was looking for this as well. Unfortunately there's no pre emergent that I know of that handles buttonweed. I've read the labels of specticle flo and pennant magnum thinking they could handle it but nope.

You WILL get tired of walking the lawn with that sprayer on your back. I would recommend the Northstar 41 gallon sprayer so you only have to fill it one time to do your whole property.

Re: New mower advice (planning for next year)

Requirements: need anything which mows great and fast. The reason why I say fast is that I have a 80-100hr work week starting next year so time will be at a premium. Budget: will try to keep it under 5k but can go up if needed. the money spent it time saved. my fatherinlaw in monroe has a gravely ,...
