what are your mixture rates for atrazine and Ethofumesate? Per 1K
Atrazine 8 oz and ethofumesate 2.25 oz 1k. I'm going to increase the atrazine by 2 oz every time I spray or until the St Augustine can't handle it

Re: 31 Gallon Northstar Sprayer TLF Style

@CenlaLowell I mostly used Battery Tenders parts and pieces. Tenders come with two different connectors. One being the alligator style clip connector and the other being the more permanent hoop connector with a fuse that you actually bolt to the battery terminal. I used the hoop style connector and...

Question how did you get power to the toggle switch? Can you explain this area of the setup?

Damn good job

Re: Cenlalowell Bermuda kill off trial

I spot sprayed a spot in the front yard and now I'm 100% it works as far as browning it out and stunning growth.

What I don't know is how long will this last and should I increase the rate of atrazine for even more effectiveness

Re: Tow Behind Sprayer Fertilizing

Melt down 10 lbs of 46-0-0 urea in 21 gallons of water and you will have an excellent, affordable nitrogen fertilizer. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what would be the best way to "melt down" the urea? I know when mixing other chemicals it's typically fill the tank half with water and then...

Re: Nutsedge!!!!

Careful with image in hot temps on st aug. I use sledgehammer. I like it because it takes a long time to kill (2 weeks to a month)so my st aug fills in as it dies out. Make sure you use a surfactant. I don’t care if it says it already has one in it, do more. This is what scares me with St Augustine...

Re: St Augustine issue or not

Thanks so I would apply both 36-0-0 and the 0-0-60 at the same time? Any weeds that I may see it’s best to spot spray those correct? I’m just concerned the lighter color grass is going to die lol. I like the darker green patches better hope it all gets that way! There different size prills so You n...

Re: Cenlalowell Bermuda kill off trial

New update. Still don't understand this. https://i.postimg.cc/B6mWXRcf/Screenshot-20190912-112937.jpg Some areas of the Bermuda loss color and this area loss all color. Now, the article I read said it was better to do this in the spring also. So, I will hit it hard in the spring time as well. I'm us...

Re: Backpack or walk behind sprayer for exposed lot?

I have this same problem. I'm most likely going to buy a trailer sprayer or something similar.

Buy a tow spreader as well so you don't have to walk with that.

I have a lot weeds around 2 mature oak trees in my front lawn and weeds around 2 younger trees in my back yard( I know, lots of weeds). Is there a safe pre and post emergent to use around these?...

Re: Cenlalowell Bermuda kill off trial

Would you say this has been effective? Or too early to tell? Any damage to the st. Aug? What air temperatures are you spraying at? I think it's to early to tell. No damage to the St Augustine and the only time I spray is between 5-6 am. I will buy a 1/2 gal of ethofumesate and a gallon of atrazine ...

Re: Sprayer Vs Spreader

Awesome I knew you guys would have the things I hadn't thought about covered. So I forgot to mention I do have a drop spreader so I can get away with that right now for granular it just takes a lot of walking and stopping to load another bag in. I think I will get my extra steps in and use that for...

Just started doing a watering schedule of 30min/section on both Saturday and Sunday morning. Heard that St. Augustine needs a lot of time between waterings. Was curious what you guys have yours set to?
I'm watering every 7-10 days
