Re: Baroness Greens Mower Questions

A question, what are owners using as a stand for service to adjust HOC or just to work in the mower ? @TulsaFan or @Mightyquinn ? HOC adjustment doesn't require a stand. So far, I typically lean it back against the handle bar for adjustments. I do use a kneeling pad to protect the handle bar from t...

Re: Japanese Battle- Rose Bush Kill

They have arrived! I saw my first one Saturday. Hopefully my soil drench I applied works. I saw maybe two last night on my roses after I saw a neighbor post about them eating her roses.

Re: New Empire Zoysia lawn

Here is my empire zoysia that was sodded back in November. I was told not to apply any pre-emergent until probably this upcoming winter. The treason being was that so the sod could fully root. I too have a few weeds that has popped up threw the cracks as well. My plan is to possibly hand pick withou...

Re: Japanese Battle- Rose Bush Kill

This stuff WORKS!!!!!! I do a root drench every other year and the only jap beetles we ever see are DEAD around the bottom of our flowering specimens! My understanding is the reason it is NOT a threat to pollinators is that they do not eat or “munch” the plants tissues the way jap beetles do. Of co...

Japanese Battle- Rose Bush Kill

Any suggestions on how to stop the beetles before they attack my rose bushes this year? I’ve already applied my dominion app for grub this year. The beetle bag seem to attract more beetles then help.

I thought something was wrong as well with my empire too. My whole yard was totally covered with seed heads. This will by my 1st season with it as well. I’m currently cutting around 1” on mines.

Re: What did you do with your landscaping today?

I got some on my burning bushes recently. Do you wet the plants first then sprinkle the dust on? I don't. It supposedly increases risk of plant leaf damage. That being said I was halfway through watering it when I applied. They had to die... Roses still look fine. Thanks. I'm gonna give it a try on...

Re: Edging Ideas

Your going to have to reseal it again in the near future with an acrylic sealer. My recommendations is to find what the guy applied. Then again maybe not! Everytime I’ve asked the contractor to reseal the curbing he uses a different one 🤦‍♂️ .

Re: Edging Ideas

Are most of these integral where the color is mixed with the concrete? I made the mistake of going with the stamp overlay. This needs to be resealed almost once a year. It looks very pretty at first, but after a year it starts to dull and loose the shine. A good acrylic is expensive btw.!

Re: Ready for sand.... almost ready.

Hmm very interesting. My empire zoysia is less than a year old. Should I wait until next year? Some spot has not fully rooted completely, but I'm sure as the weather it will.
