Re: Edging Ideas

@Austinite Gotcha. I wondered if the steel edging would shift at all. Concrete edging sure looks easy to maintain but I can see myself wanting to change the shape of the beds every now and then.

Re: Firearms of TLF

I usually get Seller and Bellot 9mm ammo, it's been hovering at about 16-17 cpr (cents per round) the past few months. Also if you choose to buy from Brownells again, they always have some kind of a discount code going: https://gun.deals/content/brownells

Re: Edging Ideas

I'm defnietly switching to trenched beds and getting rid of the metal borders that I have. What's persuading you to make the switch? I currently have a mix of brick and railroad tie edges that I'm taking out this spring/summer and I'm stuck deciding whether I want to go with steel edging or au natu...

Re: Edging Ideas

How do you maintain the bed definition with the redefiner when you have mulch in the bed? Do you have to rake it away then back, or do you just not make the mulch that deep?

Re: What did you do with your landscaping today?

@pennstater2005 your beds would be awesome if you got a bed redefiner. Check out Stihl Kombisystem or Echo redefiner. Heck you could rent a walk behind for under 100 bucks and do all your beds in a day. I would do that and then lay mulch on everything to help kill out the weeds. I bet you would see...

I held back a bag of milo in the winter so my garage can still smell wonderful even in the off-season.

December 18 - Big doin' at the kds household... Remember that ash tree that went through the back deck? https://i.imgur.com/zjPxnXD.jpg?1 It had outgrown the deck for a while now, where the tree trunk was getting girdled by the deck and it was right up against the joists so I couldn't just take a Sa...

Re: Personal Weather Stations

The 15-year-old Acer Windows XP netbook that's been running Cumulus is constantly BSOD'ing so I bit the bullet and got the Meteobridge Nano SD. I ordered it on December 31 from Switzerland (it was about $70 cheaper all-in than buying from Ambient Weather) and it should be here next week. I'm excited...

Re: Personal Weather Stations

@dfw_pilot I may have to switch to Meteobridge. My PWS is currently running on a 9-10 year-old netbook running Windows XP and should be replaced. Looks like Cumulus is no longer being supported, either. Where did you buy your Meteobridge?

Re: Personal Weather Stations

What options do aspiring PWS users have for broadcasting data to the internet now that weather underground isn’t offering free API keys? I’m hoping to get one set up this next year with a website for others to access the collected weather data. You won't need an API key from WU to send them data, o...

I like the online console!

I'll have to find something that doesn't rely on WU as I stopped sending data to them this week!

Re: Personal Weather Stations

How many consoles does everyone have for their weather stations? Currently my console is tucked away in the office to feed data to the internet. I'm thinking about getting another one for the living room, bedroom, or kitchen to take a quick look at the weather. I'd probably put one in every room if ...

@mribbens Do you have a border for your flowerbed or is it just a naked trench?
