Re: Leveling a Bermuda Lawn

Leveling Question: Our house sits up probably 10-12 feet from the road. That means that my front yard is a bit of a hill. Would it be a waste of time to try and level it? Just trying to level any ruts or high spots. Is the sand just going to fall down the hill when it rains? I’ve added a picture of...

Re: Best value spreader for 10k lawn?

The Titan 50lb. spreader is a decent clone of the popular Earthway at a good price. The price on their own site, palletforks is the best out of all the options.

Re: Fungus or Heat Stress

Just looks like spots of the crown showing to me. You'll get that deeper into the season and need to do a scalp to reset.

If it's already late in the season, then just increase your HOC so you're not cutting off the green growth completely in spots.

Re: Is this just as well as a dethatcher?

A tiller blade is bent outwards and should be ripping out a LOT more healthy grass than a typical dethatcher.

A cheapo dethatcher is $100 so unless you already had bought the tiller to do a reno at one point, should've just gone with the dethatcher.

Re: Leveling a Bermuda Lawn

Is this a good sand to use for leveling? Also I have about 6K SQ FT to level, how many yards is standard to get the job done. [ https://i.postimg.cc/TPmvQLND/1.jpg Looks decent from the pic but make sure it looks like that before you get 5+ cu yard in your driveway if you can. Ask if they have an a...

Re: Podium Growth Regulator tolerance

I have increased rates and frequency to no avail. I am starting to wonder since the gallon of product is three years old if its loosing its potency. I think the same thing happen with my Barricade application. I'd try to spray an area where you haven't before (maybe a patch of neighbors yard with p...

Re: Too early for Prodiamine in central texas?

If you do it right, you should have coverage year-round by splitting applications adding up to the annual max. However, if it does fade towards the end, you are better off doing your apps right before the critical time (early spring). I put mine down in mid-February as temps had a short spike and fo...

Re: Podium Growth Regulator tolerance

Trinexapac-ethyl Podium uses the same AI that's in t nex. Which is Trinexapac-ethyl Ah that is right. I mistook it for one of those root-absorbed PGRs. Either way I've never heard of a tolerance issue, but it only gets more expensive. I'd start increasing rates before jumping to any other products.

Re: Leveling a Bermuda Lawn

Anyone tackle washout? Basically all 4 sides of my lawn slope to some degree and with the grass growing in at different rates, some sand got washed out in spots and it collects around where the grass has grown in. Raking it back in is a pain in the @ss, but I'm thinking of mixing some self-screened ...

Re: Is humic acid the "creatine" of the bodybuilding world?

Staying with your bodybuilding analogy, I believe humic acid is more akin to human growth hormone. You produce some naturally, but supplementing with synthetics will give you long-term gains. They're not instant, but take a while to turn around soil/body composition.

The tires on the first two are just about done and they're expensive to say the least. I'd keep waiting if you go for the 3rd.

Greenworks model seems a little bit sturdier plastic but doesn't have the different cartridges.
I'd go with the Sun Joe if starting from scratch.

Re: Back Pack Sprayer Clean Out

I either don't even rinse or only once with water (I spot spray glypho in a separate hand can).

Anything remaining being diluted back into 4 gallons is not going to make a difference. Granted I only do my yard and not customers, else I'd be more careful.

You can either use the image brackets "(img)(/img)" with square brackets instead of the parenthesis and the URL in between or the postimages plugin below each text box. If you go into the full editor and preview, there are dedicated buttons that add them for you.

Re: Anyone else have a sloped yard

From my experiences with up to a 30° slope, up/down gives a better cut, but mowing across it is much easier to push. My body definitely agrees that mowing across is easier than with the slope. Also, the rear roller can have traction issues trying to get started up the slope. I have to use my whole ...

Re: Anyone else have a sloped yard

My plot of land is no where near flat. My yard slopes away on 3 sides of my house. I have been mowing with my JD220 for 2 months and I can't the hang of what direction I should be mowing. I feel like the reel/bed knife along with rear roller are constantly rolling on a crowned parts of the ground. ...
