Re: McLane Reel Mower Questions

So my McLane reel mower with Briggs & Stratton engine seems to be running only on choke for a few seconds then turns off. I imagine I need to do oil change, carb cleaning etc, i’d Prefer to diy if I could... any guidance. For now off to google and YouTube to see what I find. You probably want to ge...

Just received my MSM Turf the other day to kill mine off. And if @thegrassfactor allows. Maybe an Oak tree 😁

Re: Opinion on this push sprayer

Funny you posted this. You can get that tank at Rural King for 50. It doesn’t have a cart though and needs a bigger pump. I just finished my build mounted on a Lesco 80 lb frame. I am around $275-300 into it I think.

Re: John Deere & Toro Greensmaster walk behind reel mowers, can't find new anywhere.

I have a used 2004 Toro Flex. It is an absolute fabulous machine. Picked it up for $75 and have a few hundred in it. I also right now have a 2002 Flex in my garage that was purchased gov deals and I picked it up for the guy that bought it since it was local to me. He paid $200 and this machine is in...

Holy cow. That is a great deal. Did it come with the spreader too? I used a 12v 12ah on my build but my yard is small.

Re: Push Sprayers

I am building a push sprayer right now. All I have left to do is the electrical and mount the battery. I used a 9 gallon tank from Rural King and replaced the pump with a 3gpm unit. It is all mounted to a donor chassis from a broken Lesco Spreader.

Things have slowed down quite a bit in the past week. Still holding on though and hoping the rye makes a comeback after the Toro massacre. https://i.postimg.cc/QxPwF3kD/356-D7435-BAF5-4-E3-B-9-EF4-704-E60-BA1-EE1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/sfTtRSMv/84-C1703-F-2-D01-428-A-A183-9-C63-C6-F6863-C.jpg http...

Re: Youtube money

Time is the biggest factor. Something as simple as mowing takes longer. Then explaining things. The post production can be tedious sometimes. It is a fun hobby though an I enjoy it. Not in it for anything other than having fun. For now anyway

I’m trying a similar pattern in mine. Just 4 big squares. Going to go over it again tomorrow and hope it looks half as good as that.

Re: Help for new bermuda sod

We have had decent rain the past couple weeks and the temps are now below normal so I would worry too much on the water. It has been a month. We are supposed to get some more this Friday so there is that. The fiskars is gentle enough so mowing wound be an issue but with the cold you may not have to ...

I'd love to see a close up picture of the cut quality, anyone have one? Here you go! From earlier this year. Hopefully it’s close enough. I was making a perimeter pass at the time since the McLane didn’t like staying on the curved curb. HOC was 5/8 and it blends nicely. https://i.postimg.cc/cL6VxjZ...

Re: Toro Greensmaster & Greensmaster Flex Resources

With the next Weeks auction approaching I figure it is about time I document what was needed to remove the groomer from my Flex and install the High HOC brackets. This should help save you some shipping costs. Once a groomer is installed there are a few items that are removed. The manual states to k...

Re: Toro Greensmaster & Greensmaster Flex Resources

Going to change the gearbox transmission fluid and wondering about the fill location. My gearbox has the retro fit breather kit on it and the fill plug is almost rounded off. Could I fill via the breather on top? https://i.postimg.cc/CxTj9j7F/678_B663_B-8190-4851-9920-76897452_C632.jpg @Fistertonde...

Re: Toro Greensmaster & Greensmaster Flex Resources

@William the bed liner I used for my stand wasn’t as grippy as the pro stuff. My worry using it on the drum is it tearing up any grass if it is wet. The drive on my mclane left burnout patches if there was any moisture on the grass
