Re: House Mouse Control

Set some bait stations around your property. This may keep the problem out of your house by reducing the population around the property. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Tomcat-Mouse-Killer-Child-and-Dog-Resistant-Refillable-Station-1-Station-with-16-Baits-0372110/300934078 I keep a few of these around ...

Re: Neighbors grass creeping into mine. What type of grass?

that is a fairly small area, but its densely infested. might want to consider killing it off with Glyphostate in late summer and reseeding. that would reset the area and from there you can maintain with suppressing treatments.

Re: Front nature strip

I'll add foot traffic to the list of challenges.
if you have people walking over that section it will add stress to the turf. when i see bare dirt spots like that, i think traffic might be an issue.

Re: Dormant Seeding - Too Early with no snow in sight

I don't think it would matter. the idea of dormant seeding is that the seed just sits on the lawn while its too cold to germinate. The winter does give it a chance to work down into the soil. and then, when its finally spring, the seed germinates and poof, grass emerges. You and I are past the point...

i wish my ferris had a better solution to get underneath. its a pain to drag the floor jack around.

Re: Best spreader under $200 ($400)

I’ll also weigh in on the Earthway. I have the 2170 model with 100lb capacity. It’s well built and serves me well. It also holds a spreader mate sprayer, which is not something a 50lb model could do. I remember paying around $260 just 4 years ago. Price is now up to $370. https://www.earthway.com/sh...

Re: Milwaukee Backpack Vacuum

i have a version of these gas blower/vac. https://www.stihlusa.com/products/blowers-and-shredder-vacs/shredder-vacs/ I switch back and forth between blower and vac for leaf cleanup and it works well because its designed for outdoor use. it has an impeller that chops up little sticks, etc. The Milwau...

Re: Walk behind tank sprayer

. But you are looking to spend serious $$. $2,000 for the electric version of this Another $1,050 for the Gregson Clark SpreaderMate B And now you've got a self-propelled, all-electric, walk-behind turf sprayer. This is my master plan! I’m typically spraying about 30k ft, so I’m at the limit of wha...

Re: Ware's Christmas Lights

Which mounting solution would work best for gutters with gutter guards installed? I see they offer the line with the magnet bases which is pretty sweet but its 4x the price of the normal line. Ouch I have not found any that I liked. Instead of attaching to gutter, I attach to the shingles. The qual...

killing Bamboo

my in-laws have a large stand of Bamboo that needs to be tamed. i also have a small patch that came with the house when we moved in a few years ago. i believe Gly is the best option to control it, but i'm looking to hear from others who have successfully controlled it and what methods you used. i'm ...

I followed some of what was going on at GIE this year on social media. I was expecting it to be flooded with battery powered EVERYTHING. there was some battery stuff in there, but not nearly as much as i was expecting. For those who were there, how much battery powered stuff on display? I'm particul...
