Still no tiger stripes ! If I can get through the next 4 weeks, it should stay green all winter.

Re: Anyone Else Hate Palmetto SA?

I hate my palmetto SA and SA in general. When I moved to Texas it was my first experience with warm season grass and it has left me bitter. I give the same love and care to my front yard (reel mowed tiftuf) as my backyard (palmetto). While my tiftuf always looks great, my palmetto looks mediocre at ...

It’s not a JD or a Toro, but I love my Jacobsen PGM22. They are rock solid

Re: SPF-30 hybrid bluegrass

Anyone ever plant this stuff directly into Augustine ? My st Augustine has stopped growing for the year, but with soil temps in the 50-60s all winter, I feel like the SPF30 would be able to grow pretty well.

Re: Verticutter or Groomer ? Which should I buy ?

Thank you everyone for the responses. I will keep my eye out for a verticutter this winter. Do not need it until the spring so I am not in a rush. Hopefully I can get something that is around me in the Houston area.

Re: Jacobsen Greens Mower Questions

Anyone ever install a groomer on one of these? I found a few groomers for sale for the pgm22 but was curious if these things were a PITA to install

Verticutter or Groomer ? Which should I buy ?

For Christmas this year, I’m looking to buy one or the other. Which do y’all prefer and why ?

This year, I maintained my lawn below .5 for the entire year.

Any suggestions would be most helpful !

Re: Brown Patch in St Augusetine.

Propiconazole is okay for brown patch, but definitely not the best choice. From my experience, class 3 fungicides are fine for prevention of brown patch, but curative efforts may or may not work. I tend to mix class 3 and 11 if I have an active outbreak of brown patch. Class 11 (strobulins) are stro...

Re: Lowest reasonable HOC for TifTuf

I had it as low as .2ish this summer, but found that .375 was a sweet spot for me. https://i.postimg.cc/y8M7rK7R/12-A068-E9-3401-460-B-8564-D368-ADA2-F3-E7.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/tJqqtzpm/45-F80322-B8-B2-4814-843-E-E62-B95-B304-E9.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/K8kZNjhF/AF67-B5-E4-0-EA2-4-CA6-B885-7-BBD...

Re: 2020 | Warm Season Lawn Photos

Gave a quick cut. Temperatures are cooling down but we should be in the 70S for the foreseeable future.

Also tended to my new sage.
