Re: Help me decide - Honda vs. Toro

Hey guys, I found a SR20381, three years old with a picture of receipt for the purchase. He says it runs like new and has maintenance records. $225. Claims he only used it 1.5 seasons and decided to get a bigger mower. . Any reason not to jump on it? Not being mechanically inclined, what should I l...

Re: Masport Rotarola

@ctrav I should have said “have had”. I still have it. I am in the process of a long term move so it is in storage but got to using a reel and made some trades that put me with an Exmark 30 so I tend to use the Swardman and Exmark if I need vac or grass is too long. Picked up the Masport for $400 f...

Re: 2019 | Warm Season Lawn Photos
Thank you. It’s on my wish list but a tad $ for what i can get now
The cost factor scared me but I don't regret the purchase at all. I found a new string trimmer on FB marketplace and got really lucky as it was brand new. When you total the two together its a hefty investment for s...

I think you are going to love it. Had mine for two seasons and it is easy to handle, cuts great, and stripes beautifully.
Why did you get ride of it?

I'm slacking on my lawn (and lawn updates) this year. Life has been busy, so the lawn has not been a top priority. Here are my most recent photos after mowing with the demo Masport Rotarola I have on loan. HOC is 3/4". https://i.postimg.cc/qvyB3RN6/IMG-2396.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/NfyjQbY4/IMG-239...

Re: New CalTrimmer - Scalped from 1.25 to 0.5 - Need Assurance

@ctrav Well crap, I totally forgot to run a double cut. Just not thinking. That would’ve been ideal and I’m certain I would’ve pulled up more as well. Ugh, 75% of the job done. Let’s see how it goes. I did double cut the front. @Greendoc I have one final 3/8 notch but I just don’t have the patience...

Full manicure with lawn scissors and string trimmer on the front and backyard. Got in 4 miles of walking and tripled my exercise goal! Nothing beats a barking guard dog. Doesn't require power or an internet connection. I have cameras that record to the cloud and alert me via text if movement detected, it helps but I get false alerts such as sun shadows and those darn squirrels. Totally agree and my Charlee is so vicious she...

Broke out the lawn scissors and string trimmer to do a full manicure on the front and back. Cut the back 40 at 1.5" and 2". Hot out but the workout feels good!

 now we’re talking! Did you just scalp the front and back in one direction? I went east west then north south and pulled up even more. I did it to ensure I had a good base to start from and the work is paying off!
