Re: 0-0-2 Micro Greene + incoming rain

For foliar products, I think it is best to let them sit at least 4hrs.

Re: SP's thread

Show them pictures of your lawn. It might be that your thicker lawn is also slowing down the motor. Do you hear the motor change when going over concrete than when mowing? The calculation you did for 13k assumes the motor rpm is the same as the rpm of the blades. The motor could go thru a transmissi...

Re: SP's thread

I just went online. The ZT X says it has a blade tip speed of 17k. There could be a gear increasing pulley that spins the blades faster than the motor rpm.

edit: I found the ZT 42. It is also 17k

Re: SP's thread

Change the rpm, but it seems like you are maxed or change the balde to be longer or change the mower.

Re: SP's thread

That calculation is for blade tip speed in ft per minute. 13k is slow in my opinion. I think the max government allowed speed (mower police?) Is 19k.

This might explain your problem.

Without knowing your pressure and gpm, it will be hard to tell. Bigger is better.

Re: Fungus ID thread

@dad311 I would assume it is leaf spot at this point. All this rain is not helping.

@Zaly61 I'm not sure. One of your images is out of focus. How long ago was the azoxy (scotts diseasex)?

Re: Thiophanate-Methyl 70% rate

I did a bit of research. There is a T methyl product sold as 50% and the rate is 2 to 4oz/ksqft for turf. Using your 70% product, then 1.4oz to 2.85oz/ksqft. Use 1 gallon or more of water per ksqft. The product I found is sold in small bags that you need to disolver the entire bag in water. If your ...

Re: Lawn Starting to turn yellow-ish and grass blades appear to be dying

@maynardGkeynes maybe a year or 2 old. They still make the other one. Amazon had the Scott (azoxy) on special a couple of weeks ago at $11/bag ($19 regular).

It is granular, which I am not a fan of for curative, but it works great in the early phases and as a preventive.

1) only apply lime if your soil test indicates it, otherwise it could cause more trouble than help. 2)you will save $$ using tenacity via a sprayer. But only if you have the sprayer and are calibrated. I think you should do gly today, water the area every day to grow weeds and then do more gly the d...
