Re: 2020 | What did you do with your lawn today?

Mowed some curved stripes. I’d like to thank TLF members, and my friend Phil from Turf Tech LawnSpraying out of Richmond Hill GA for getting me addicted to grass and for his guidance and advice.

Re: Mole Traps

My persistence paid off!! Haven’t had any tunnels in a long time. This one popped up one day, set the trap and the next morning snagged him.

Re: Physical lawn journals...how many do it and what's in it?

I use a physical notebook and write down mix rates, dates applied etc. I recently downloaded the Yard Mastery app that LCN just recently launched but planning on continuing to use my notebook.

Re: Drip irrigation question

Before installing mine I read that the soaker hose will use more water because it’s applying it where u don’t have plants. However the drip emitters obviously drip it right next to each plant rather than soaking spots that is unneeded. I set up my first drip irrigation system by converting a sprinkl...

Re: 2020 | What did you do with your lawn today?

4 cubic yards of white mason sand, and 1 cubic yard of organic top dressing went on the 5,500 sq ft lawn yesterday. Since I aerated prior to leveling I could have used more sand but still made a huge difference. Was to tired to post yesterday. https://i.postimg.cc/tCYRcgsj/03-F6-DD77-EB66-4367-AD3-D...

Re: Anyone on here used this humic acid?

Edit: I was looking at the RAW products also. I asked if anyone used the Kelp on lawns on Amazon Q and A and received not so good answers and never received an answer from anyone on the humic for lawns. My apologies, guess I should vet and edit my posts before I submit. Lol. The picture is the respo...

Count me in on the Victory Garden! What would you all buy out of this list for a raised garden bed? Or just go with the obvious organic plant mix?

I used waterproof wire nuts then went over them with black electrical tape. This website is pretty thorough and looks pretty professional.

Re: 2020 | What did you do with your lawn today?

@GrassAndWater12 impressive for Centipede! Would be interested to hear your plan this year and products you apply and when. Good to see some Centipede on here. I am keeping mine at 2" year-round. I would go lower but I have some shade issues. I may increase in July-Aug to 2.5" as well. Sent you a P...

Re: Installing Downspout Pop up Emitters

Thanks for the tip! I’m going to be pulling the trigger on this project this month! I just went through this same situation and went with 4 inch PVC and at the end I made a small dry well. I didn’t think the dry well would hold that much or work that well but did an experiment and was amazed at the...

Re: 2020 | What did you do with your lawn today?

You are my new inspiration for centipede!!! Are you reel mowing? Thanks for the compliments everyone. No I’m not reel mowing, but I would love to if I could ever convince the wife I “need one”. I scalped and bagged on the first mow and this was after the 2nd cut and then two days later the iron app...
