Re: Ryobi 18v Sprayer

I have the 2 gallon sprayer and I replaced the wand. You can’t change out the tips. I still have the old wand and I can take a picture later. It also takes 6 minutes to spray a gallon. I’m not a fan and I’ll upgrade my sprayer next season.

My first app I put down .1oz per K of T-nex after mowing on 7/14. I mowed again on 7/18. I had about hal...

Awesome job man! Didn’t realize you were from the north. I’m originally from NY, and my brother in law is from Columbus. Small world. Took me a year to learn (and still learning) warm season grass haha

Re: John Deere greens mower Questions

I have two options, hack off the axle for the transport wheels on my 220b or make the gate to my backyard wider. I’ve seen other people cut off the axles. There’s no real issue doing that right? Don’t wan to have to take the gate off every time I go back there like I have been haha No issues cuttin...

Re: John Deere greens mower Questions

@stepper I'm a little confused which carb you have installed now. If it's the original, then there are some additional cleaning points such as the idle/pilot jet, and the main fuel screen that may of been overlooked. My money is on the idle jet. A carburetor is very simple, but yet terribly complex...

Re: John Deere greens mower Questions

Look up a Honda gx120 Engine diagram. Make 1000% sure you have all the carburetor gaskets and spacers. The way it's dying could be because there is too much oxygen being sucked in, which is a very similar symptom of it being fuel starved. If your carb is good the spacers and gaskets would be my sec...

@stepper that sounded like the governor is not set correctly. It is a pain to get to it underneath the tank.
Should be easier when I take the tank off. I did have trouble setting it with the tank in the way. Thanks @g-man

Re: John Deere greens mower Questions

Buy an aftermarket carb and be done with it. I had all kinds of issues with my 260sl. Ordered this carb from amazon and it's ran like a champ ever since. It's so cheap it may be worth it to you just to replace it to see if this fixes it. Already replaced it. Could replace it with another one, but t...

@stepper I'd change the carb. Mine done the same thing. I cleaned everything just like you. Ordered a cheap carburator off Amazon and low and behold it worked first crank.
Already did. This is the new one.

Re: John Deere greens mower Questions

Still struggling getting my JD 220B running right. Changed all of the fluids, carb, spark plug, and governor spring. Then cleaned out the main jet as Pete1313 suggested. Initial problem was getting it to run with the choke closed. Now it will, but shuts off without even giving me a chance to open t...

Re: $100 JD 220B

Also make sure your gasket is good between the motor and the carb. Only running good at half choke means 1 of 2 things. 1. Not enough fuel (clogged jet). 2. Too much air, air is getting pulled into the motor from somewhere else besides going through the carb. 9 out of 10 times it will be #1 Thanks ...

Re: $100 JD 220B

I’ll update as well. Changed the oil, gas, and gear oil, and like you both, Davie_Gravy Spammage there was a lot of metal in there. Greased everything I was supposed to. Replaced the belts and changed the carb (first time doing anything like that). Started on the second pull and was smoky as hell. L...
