Re: Back to School...

My kids are already homeschooled. I do believe our school district is doing a blended approach.

Re: Pennstater’s 2020 Lawn Journal (Starts Page 52)

Nothing like another reno right? Should look great soon enough. Do you find that the impulse sprinkles work well for germinating seeds? I wasn’t sure if they should be too aggressive for seeding. I'll be glad to take a break after this year :D The impulse sprinklers work well in that the harder str...

Re: Pennstater’s 2020 Lawn Journal (Starts Page 52)

Bought another Orbit impulse sprinkler. The two give enough coverage as they're very adjustable. Maybe a tiny bit of hand watering.

Re: Pennstater’s 2020 Lawn Journal (Starts Page 52)

All done. The orbit impulse sprinklers are better made than the rainbird ones. Better coverage. Yes I used straw. Afternoon thunderstorms predicted everyday next week. https://i.postimg.cc/XvQ1hKDm/IMG-20200808-140253.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/XJPHNjWg/IMG-20200808-134538.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/jC0...

Seed down day. Cutting roots out with the reciprocating saw. Easy!

Re: Pennstater’s 2020 Lawn Journal (Starts Page 52)

Hoping to get gly down today after work. Then will need to get a bit more grass out with the thatch rake. Hoping for seed down Saturday or Sunday. Depends on how much I get done this week.

Keep your eye out for a split that may appear on the Marketplace forum. That’s how I got a small bottle.

Read the label for Tenacity use. The crabgrass has to be less than 3 or 4 tillers for it to have effectiveness. I've used it on mature crabgrass and it whitens but not much else.

Finishing the poly on the Cornhole boards. Penn State decals next. Smoking a CAO and drinking a Leinenkugel's.

Put this here because otherwise it would be in the hobbies, drinking, and smoking threads

Re: KBG/PRG Reno Question

PRG does have allelopathic properties but I have a KBG/PRG split and it still seems even. That said, I wouldn’t plant PRG again and I’m not for the last section of my renovation coming up.

The seed heads this year have been bad. But I mow around 3.5”.

Re: Sports Without Fans

Nothing yet has interested me without the fans in attendance. It’s too big a part of the game. I hate pre season anything and that’s all this feels like. Saw a guy sink a 40’ putt or something last week and nada. He didn’t even get excited. Grabbed his golf ball and walked off. Hockey maybe. We’ll s...

Rented the power rake. Didn't go quite as deep this time. Thinking maybe that brought up some of the garage grass I've got from last year. Exposed plenty of soil. A little leveling this week plus watering a bit to fallow and another two rounds of gly. https://i.postimg.cc/9MqDxJmG/MVIMG-20200726-133...

I love Ron Swanson.

“Just give me all the bacon and eggs you have… Wait. Wait…”

“I’m worried what you just heard was give me a lot of bacon and eggs. What I said was give me all the bacon and eggs you have.”

“Do you understand?”
