Re: Prodiamine

This was my first year with prodiamine as well. I'm getting quite a bit of weeds (poa and henbit) too but looking back I don't think my application was very thorough and I had a moderate rain shortly after that likely reduced the efficacy. I have long linear streaks of weeds that look like I may ha...

Re: Grass id

It’s possible. Definitely have had the fluctuating temps.

The strands I pulled just seems so much larger in terms of the actual leaf of the grass. They just “popped” compared to the rest of the dormant turf.

Re: SwBermuda - Help with irrigation layout

I've tried the best I can to go head to head coverage so I've modified the spray distance on most of them. Maybe just reposition some of the heads, add heads? I'll be bored during my thanksgiving break so can get after it.

@g-man basically all the curved parts lol . The area with the 8'6" spot is a low area that I think water runs down to. Aerating and leveling in the spring.

SwBermuda - Help with irrigation layout

Hey @g-man here is my layout. I’m not good enough to draw it like @ricwilli did but I think we can get the basic gist. Just an FYI I’m not the original installer of this cluster of a layout 😂

Re: Is this fungus...

Warm season grasses do not react to Propiconazole very well. I do not use it. I rather use Myclobutanil or the rate of Triadimefon applied in the pre mixed product Armada WDG. how many different groups do you use for fungicides? I was thinking of using 3 MOA Thiophante Azoxy then Myclobutanil??? Do...

Re: First Level!!

I'll semi hi-jack this post, but since it's about leveling I think we will be alright. I'm going to level early next growing season, but I have a couple areas that are significantly higher or lower than the majority of the lawn. Significantly meaning a couple inches. maybe 2-3 inches higher than the...

Re: Fall/Spring Prep TifTuf Bermuda

Let me take a crack at this... I can only offer opinions on 1 and 2 1. Level with that initial spring scalp. Knock out two birds with one stone. If you want to be an over achiever scalp and aerate, then level. I plan on doing the same next growing season. 2. You can always invest in a decent reel mo...

Up. Works great. Used that tool to backlap today. Works amazingly. Gents, Ordered a similar hole cutter from Amazon, as well as a reel back-lapping kit from Pinhole consisting of 80# & 120# grit compound and a long handled brush. I used my grinder to shorten the two "cutters" and gave a 'spin' with...

Re: Questions as we head into dormancy

What is the rate of 21-0-0 on your foliar sprays? I’m about 95% sure you’re spraying ammonium sulfate which will burn the leaf blade in a heartbeat if not watered in. It has one of the highest salt indexes of commonly available nitrogen fertilizers. If you are applying it for the sulfur, I’d water ...
