Re: Garage Door Security

I was thinking about doing the torsion bar openers on my garage doors on this next house. I have them on my shop doors and they seem to work great!!

Re: Anyone Here Have A Pool?

I have an 20-40' 33k gallon in-ground free form gunite pool with a saltwater chlorinator, Pentair Variable speed pump and gas heater. It has a bahama bench type sun shelf(6" water area) we put plastic chairs there to sit on. Also have a slide and a rock to jump off of on the deep end. We did the pla...

Re: Lawn dye for winter?

I used a lawn paint - it did fade a little over the winter but all in all looked great. I sprayed it on with a back pack sprayer which to forever to apply. Think I spent 6-8hrs total doing my front yard 14-15K over the course of 3-4 evenings What product did you use, MrMeaner? I honestly don't reme...

Re: Leveling a Bermuda Lawn

I had Bermuda smothered with 6"of top soil in a portion of my lawn when I built a shop in my back yard and it grew right back up through it. Bermuda will laugh at 3"-6" of sand and grow and spread right up through it with ease.

Re: 4 month-old sod - too soon to level?

I literally buried approx. 300Sq Ft out of a 1000Sq Ft area of Bermuda with 6" of top soil when I build the huge shop in my back yard. I did this with the intention to drain and keep water away from the shop foundation. I intended to re-sod that area however landscaper I hired got busy on other proj...

Re: Bauc54's Lawn Journal

Thanks for all of the advice! I wound up mowing and then doing my best to fill all of the divots with with sand. Fortunately, many of them were already sand filled since I just completed my last sanding. Tonight I plan on throwing down some 29-0-4 to encourage growth into the divots. If anyone thin...

Re: ERDONS backyard lawn/putting green journal

For me personally at the office - we are/were on watering restrictions and wanted as little maintenance as possible her since we have no space for any yard equipment or supplies . We still hire out for weed control but the artificial turf and xeriscape has served us well for what we need.

+1 on the artificial putting green... although you have done some plumbing already. Maybe could use that or garden or other live landscape around the putting green These are the two artificial putting greens I put in at our office https://s17.postimg.cc/njnx2i3b3/IMG_3954.jpg https://s17.postimg.cc/...

Re: LLano Estacado 2018 lawn journal

Very nice, what yard vac were you using? Rented a Billy Goat from Sunbelt Rentals. This unit specifically. Also the "verticutter" I used was really an overseeder, also a billy goat machine. This one worked like a charm. Llano, are you interested in a Triplex Green mower for your 4500Sq Ft. - I'll l...

Re: Basic equipment needed to maintain a triplex

Give that Toro 3100 a hard look again.. great machine. power steering and It will cut down to 1/4" and up to two inches easily. So will the John Deere but nto sure they have power steering our not. Not a must but is a very desirable feature and at 22K both of those machines will cut that in about 20...
