But If I were to do it all over again I would’ve went to this place because they can get you any elite variety you want. https://valleygreen...

Re: Blue Note

This is my KBG blend from a local nursery. zinger is probably the worst cultivar of this 4 way blend. I wish it wasn’t even in there. Sometimes I want to know the same thing your asking, if I could be able to tell the difference from one cultivar to the next. and I’ve read all the trials and sometim...

Greens max 4018

Hey @MasterMech how come this greens mower is so elusive, I have not one picture of this in the wild. Has r&r even sold any. It looks identical to the jakes, but some nicer parts, is it possible that it’s a step up from the Jacobsen?

Re: Turf trainer

Ok @MasterMech , that’s a shame, because it looks like a nice/quick solution to getting a cleaner cut. I run a jake 526x end it already gives a great cut so I guess I’m probably just looking to split hairs.

Re: Turf trainer

I don't think it would be a good solution for KBG at your height of cut. It appears if just an artificial piece of turf mounted on the grass basket, it appears to be better suited for a golf green. If your case, you could probably make one yourself using a higher pile of artificial turf and see how...

Re: Turf trainer

Has anyone had any experience with this product. It costs $250. My lawn is Kentucky bluegrass in my hoc is 3/4 of an inch. will this brush mounted on the basket actually help straighten the blades of grass before reaching the reel for a cleaner cut? https://turf-trainer.com/ I don't have experience...

Re: Tourney

Its use rates are relatively low compared to most other DMIs making it look 2-3x more expensive per ounce in some cases. Also, I do not think the a.i. has much post-patent competition which keeps price where it is. It does a comparable job to azoxy on summer patch which may make them think it comma...

Re: Need a lesson in verticutter attachment to a greens mower

@MasterMech Thank you pal, class is in session. To be honest I was suffering from greensmower envy not having this attachment. But I cut my KBG at 3/4 of an inch, so it’s nice to know that this attachment wouldn’t make a difference in the appearance of the cut.

Need a lesson in verticutter attachment to a greens mower

Can someone tell me how the Verti cutter attachment on the greens mower, the actual purpose and what are the finished results to the grass compared not having attachment. Also if you look at these photos it looks like the Verti cutting blades fit within the groove of the front roller https://i.posti...

I too was really concerned about the loud noise when it was brand new, but one season later, I can honestly say the noise dB have cut in half. plus I don’t use it at full RPM. probably about half speed is sufficient

Not to hijack the thread, has anyone installed a led on a Jacobsen that is running a halogen. Is there a resistor that I need to install to change the wattage.

Re: Pro plugger cup size

I’ve been working on this since the last time I posted, and came up with a solution. the 9 ounce plastic cups in the supermarket is just about the perfect size for the pro pluger and it is 4 inches deep. all I did was melt some drainage holes in the bottom of a cup with a soldering iron, very easy. ...
