Re: Salamanders in valve boxes

Wow. Not sure how many are aware of it but, salamanders are actually a very critical “indicator” species; they occur only where there is a minimum of pollutants, etc. I’ve only seen one in our yard and my heart soared ... until I remembered I use fungicides, etc. and seeing that little guy had to be...

Q - Liquid Aerators / Conditioners: really all that?

I was price-checking T-Nex PGR (gonna run out very early into next season so, was curious about how much I should be budgeting for, between now and then) when I happened to come across this product: Liquid Aerating Soil Loosen...

Re: Impaired and distracted drivers

.. This one bothered me the most as it happened at 11:30pm involving a drunk driver with three of his kids in the car. They had to break the windows to get the kids out. ... My, my. I can think of several families I’ve known where such a stunt could earn catching “Dad” alone next time followed with...

You can try BioAdvanced Moss and Algae killer Thanks, troksd - and the answer to both those questions is “Yes” I am going to follow tgreen’s advice - due to monetary and time restrictio...

The guide is color coded for efficacy. I thought about adding a chart to the first post but it's already insanely long. What would you suggest? Oh! I didn’t mean to suggest anything be added to the data table which is the first post of that thread ! :o  I only meant for him (her?) to post it...

Howdy, all! (Man, I wish there was a way I could post this to BOTH the warm AND cold season grass forums ... ) Hey, do any of you know of a (any) “common household” -type item(s) that effectively reduce foaming when agitating / mixing those certain lawn chems that seem to foam up enough to the...

I made this chart by combining NCSU and Kentucky data on various compounds with 1 being low efficacy and 4 being excellent efficacy: Hey, mowww! Now THAT is MUCH APPRECIATED (and with no mean amount of admiration, too)! Would you consider posting it to the “ Fungicide Guide ” thread, started by mem...

Question for the TLF brain trust: Anyone know if there is a hands down, “better mousetrap” design / build-quality out there, as far as grease guns go? I checked the “Popular Equipment & Tools” thread; also just finished reading all the TLF threads a “Search” turned up here (and there are many great ...

I put a light film of grease, Fluid Film or Vaseline - whatver I have handy - around that rubber gasket as a last step after each post-use cleaning not only to prevent leaking but, also just so I can unscrew the lid, in between tankful (typically takes 7 tankfuls to do my lawn :| Every several clean...
