First application burns down the existing. Then there will be a second emergence 30-45 days later. Burn that down. Then a final one 30-45 days after that.

Re: Plugging Tif into Common Bermuda

You can do that. Look at what Tellycoleman did to disadvantage the Bermuda growing in his improved Bermuda lawn. He mowed low and sprayed growth regulators on the Common. If the Bermuda you have does not look good mowed with your mower, I am guessing it is more like a hay or pasture variety of Bermu...

Re: Insecticide safe for kids

Lately, I have started using Permethrin with great results. Permethrin is a natural ingredient found in chrysanthemums flowers. The insecticide version is just a higher concentration that makes it last longer as the residual can handle some rain. It is labeled for a ton of uses and the actual label...

Re: Help with Empire Zoysia in sugar sandy CFL

Any thoughts on Nimitz for nematode control if that’s what the issue is found to be? From what little research I’ve done, it seems Nimitz targets more than Indemnify does, at a much lower cost as well. I have 6500 square feet, so one 40lb. bucket of Nimitz will allow 2 of the higher rate apps per t...

Yes. That is correct. 1 lb will easily mix into a gallon of water. Water in after application ASAP.

They both look the same and are equally susceptible to nematodes and diseases. El Toro was selected to be a rampant grower even in alkaline and salty soil.

Re: Help with Empire Zoysia in sugar sandy CFL

When does indemnify go generic? 1700 bucks is absurd. . Very good question. It’s been out for 3 years now, so it still has a while. It shares the same ai as exterris stressgard, so a lot of guys just go that route. I think the quickest price reduction will come via competition. Right now, indemnify...

It can. You will need to stay under the GPM rating of the pump AI110-04 nozzles operated in sets of three need 1.2 GPM. The extra 0.6 GPM is to maintain pressure and agitation

He took the pump and engine from an Echo SHR 210 sprayer. I found 70 MM clutch piston pumps for sale from China earlier this year. That is what I replaced my Maruyama MS074 pump with. http://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1iPNUvYuWBuNjSszgq6z8jVXa0.jpg pair that with a Honda GX 35 engine and you have a beast...

You are not too low. The brown stuff you are seeing is a result of not being low enough.

Re: Pounds of N Per Year in Zoysia

Milorganite is what it is. Zoysia requires a certain precision concerning N levels and response to the N application. Slow release anything was an accommodation to the national franchise type of lawn care company that only did x number of applications per year. You live at that house. No reason why ...

2 lb per gallon AMS is ok, if, and this is a big if, you are applying under relatively cool and wet conditions, and, the application is being done with the irrigation system zones literally on your heels. I do this, but only to lawns where I am spraying ahead of an irrigation system and not during t...
