I bought those at The Home Depot. You can also use a straight pipe with a coupler. Just added cost.

Re: Valve box extension

@Lawnhunter @wardconnor @Movingshrub Did you guys end up having to cut the new box you placed on top? My current box in the lawn settled unevenly - I need to raise one side about 1 1/2" and the other side about 3" Curious if you did cut your box, how easy it was to cut, and did you have to cut the ...

Dont kid yourself folks. This sprayer kicks some serious butt. You would just modify the boom and number of nozzles that you need for your application.

Re: Apply PGR with end of hose sprayer

Well, A challenge from Connor Ward and @HungrySoutherner, can’t turn that down. I’ve discussed PGR at length with our golf course superintendent and he feels there is not much risk if it is under or over applied. Weather permitting the deed should go down Sunday and I’ll get the video out first of ...

Re: Apply PGR with end of hose sprayer

Anyone on here apply PGR with end of hose sprayer? I think with a little practice and trial and error I could figure the rate out. But it takes me about an hour and a half to apply with my spray tank and I do an okay job on coverage and I figure I could cut that to less than 15 minutes with the end...

Re: Happy 4th

Happy Independence Day! I would say my lawn is not where it usually is this time of year, but I’ll play the hand I’m dealt. Would you believe I have only made one fertilizer app this year, and haven’t even turned on my irrigation meter yet?! TLF hit the 10,000 registered members m...

Happy 4th

Happy 4th of July folks. I hope this is a good one for you all. This is what I am going with this year. Quick pic from security cam. The coloring is terrible from that camera. https://i.postimg.cc/gJWdM07q/Front-Lawn-July-3-2020-11-28-59-AM.png https://i.postimg.cc/zBzhsqbK/20200702-121531.jpg https...

Re: Leveling a fescue lawn.

nice work. The hardest part is transporting the sand. If using a wheel barrow or dump cart pulled by hand forget about it. I did it all with a 4 wheeler and a dump cart. The rest I did with the 4 wheeler and the drag that I made. It really is hard work but it is so rewarding.

Re: How is everyone doing?

Things are good here. No known cases in my town. There are cases in the city 45 minutes drive from me. This is a crazy time. I generally work alone in an office so I am still working from the office. I hope things will get back to normal soon. I do have a family member cousin that has tested positiv...

Re: Leveling a fescue lawn.

CrackedCornCrack Good Boy.....You have done well. I have leveled my lawn like 4 times now using this process that you did. It really is so much work. Every time I have done this job, I have always thought that I put WAYYYYYY too much sand down. I have helped others with their lawn and thought the s...

Re: low areas in lawn

What would I fill them with and when and how much at one time. It really depends on how deep they are. If you fill them in with sand or soil you really are not going to get the grass growing through if it is more than say 1/2" or so. If you smother the lawn and it can not get sunlight then you are ...

@wardconnor funny you replied to the post, you're the cause of ALL of this sand! Any thoughts on the timing and height of next cut? I noticed in one of your videos you went 1 week after the topdress but mentioned the rotary picked up lots of sand and stopped. Just curious. no need to stress a...

I agree hold off until later. The scarifying will also remove a bunch of thatchy material. Do it later and then overseed.
