Re: Help identifying my lawn

Majority of it looks to be kikuyu which is pretty common for your location.

Re: Fertlizer applied too light

Not familiar with the particular product but If you applied 5000sqft of product evenly over 17000sqft you would need roughly 2 and a quarter more bags distributed evenly over the same ground. Since it is a pre-emergent there shouldn't be a need to worry about temps as it's not a foliar product and n...

Retail for 20-20-20 and Miracle Gro in the 10 lb box from Costco or HD is similar per lb. I turn people in that direction if they want to try spray feeding their lawn.
If I don’t use a pump sprayer, and use a hose end sprayer, do I need to just use the miracle gro brand sprayer?
Yes

Re: How to kill stringy bermuda in Tifgrand

I posted my torpedo grass a week ago in this thread https://thelawnforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=18113 That day I popped it with quinclorac and these are the results 7 days later. I plan to apply again in 7 days. https://i.imgur.com/lj7wDwT.jpg In your case it looks like torpedo up top, very strang...

Re: CANNOT kill these weeds...please help

Never used certainty but that doesn't mean it's not great. I don't get any poa and sedgehammer or imazaquin takes care of my yellow sedge or kylinga easy enough. The right tool for the right job I guess.

Re: Can I add a liquid nitrogen this soon?

Miracle gro lawn food would be perfect in this situation imo since you are trying to level a slope. It's 36-0-6 and you apply it with a hose end sprayer normally. It can be melted down easily in a 5 gal bucket and sprayed with a backpack. This is if you can't find water soluble urea or ams. If you c...

@FoldsPocketAces I have no first hand experience with it but quackgrass comes to mind when I look at that. @Spammage has a great eye for grass id.

@engineear please update us, I think I’m having the same issue on my lawn. Not sure if this is common Bermuda or torpedo. https://i.postimg.cc/0NwBk4Db/1-AACAE1-F-0062-4218-8482-0-D763-EA4-A3-A0.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/FH16qzKb/5962-FC57-AC94-480-A-87-C9-2-C9466-F21934.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/hPD...

My clippings from today's cut was about half of the previous mow. The Anuew works really fast.

Re: Seeing mow lines to make stripes

I still haven't got this down yet either but I could share a few of my observations that have been helpful. First thing I noticed is my mower made more pronounced stripes if I throttle it down to move slower. My thought is that moving slower allows the mower more time to "press" the grass down more ...

Re: Fladave 2020

@cfsinger91 I ordered them from Hancock seed but they actually shipped directly from bethel farms. I'd call bethel farms first, you may be able to cut out the middle man. They were ~$50 for two trays I think.

Cut @ .5"
Put down Anuew pgr @ .25oz/M
Collected another 45gal clippings in 2 days
Testing out the Anuew pgr again but solo this time. My combo with tnex didn't go so well last time do to the leaf spot outbreak.
