Re: Fladave 2020

Real interested in your Bimini experiment. I'm thinking of something similar. They are doing well. I am slacking on documenting them but I will try to get some pics up tomorrow. They rooted well within 4-5 days. I am really pushing them on shade tolerance but the shaded plugs seem to be trucking al...

Re: FEature / Greene EfFect

@FlaDave thanks for posting that pic. Had to go look at the bag I had sitting downstairs because this is what they show online: https://i.postimg.cc/gJ6Q0gZc/Smart-Select-20200427-203115-Drive.jpg Didn't realize that only a portion of some of the nutrients are chelated. @Olkutty you think this is w...

Re: FEature / Greene EfFect

Anyone has any luck finding sellers for FEature this season? Trying to stock up before it starts up. Down to half a bag.. Main event is a comparable product. I think the best deal going right now with shipping is here. https://gloriousgardenspro.com/products/main-event-dry-chelated-iron-6-0-0-non-s...

Confirmed it is bermuda. As to what strain check out what's available near you and compare would be your best bet.

Re: SA growing into Bermuda

It grows via above ground runners only so you might be able to put a board down below there into the soil a few inches to keep it at Bay. Other than that I just wait for my neighbors runners to grow long like that and rip them up. Quinclorac will kill it but it's harder to pull the runners up when t...

Without a close up of a piece I'm going to say it's got the blades and texture of zoysia.

Re: Fladave 2020

Cut and put down 25lbs simply organic 10-0-1. Lawn is recovering nicely. Gave the plugs their first trim and soaked them with some miracle gro lawn food. https://i.postimg.cc/QMGwDP3s/IMG-20200411-150653617.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/kgrfRbhv/IMG-20200411-150822804.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/T2z4gFKb/IM...

Re: Grass type

I think what throws you off is that the first picture is of the underside of the grass.

Here's an example: left is top side bermuda, middle is the underside of bermuda, right is st Aug. All pgr treated.

Re: Grass type

I wouldn't think there is any way it could be St. Augustine. I have been mowing it at .5" for the last 2 years, and I thought St. Augustine like a higher HOC. I have used PGR. Could that explain the multiple shoots? If this is St. Augustine, everything I have ever known about my lawn will go up in ...

Re: Ferrous Ammonium Sulfate | Liquid Iron for Lawns

@jprez I would think if your lawn is greened up and healthy you should be fine. I had the same question. I just browsed all 25 pages of this thread and I dont think I saw any mention of when you can start applying.(I'm also on whisky #2 and may have missed it) I gather that I am okay to start, but ...

Re: Best gas-proof paint?

My opinion as an automotive collision repair tech would be to use an epoxy and topcoat it with a single stage urethane paint. You can get those from your local autobody supply stores, finishmaster, Albert kemperle, Ben's paint supply, Sherwin Williams, etc... The materials would cost you $$$. It mig...
