I had large patch this spring with the signature outer ring but I dont know what this is. Azoxy 3.2oz/4M+ PPZ 8oz/4M took care of LP outbreak in Spring. I have been monitoring soil temps for fall application, 83-87F soil temp this month in Lower Alabama. And now this. It’s only happening in one 2k sq ft section. I have Azoxy, Prop, and Exteris on hand as well.

I tried to get a pic of the brown shredded tips but it isnt photographing well. I noticed this a couple weeks ago in three small areas and thought it was some dry spots in the irrigation but that’s not the problem and its grown much larger. It’s been a very wet Summer this year. The picture looks much worse than it does IRL, this yard could win Yard of the Month.

Outside temperature is 85F-90F all week.

A few of those grayish areas developed in my Zoysia last week. It looks like drought stress but with all the rain that can't be the case. Like you, areas with brown tips developed and they're hard to photograph. It seems like Bipolaris, but I don't see the leaf spots.

I had a similar outbreak this time last year and in May of this year. Last year I treated with Azoxystrobin. In May I treated with 3336F. Both cleaned it up completely. I sprayed Azoxystrobin on Sunday.

Are your mower's blades sharp?

My Husqvarna 430X Automower uses three small double-sided blades the size of razor blades. I put a fresh set on at the beginning of the season. The shredded tips are only occurring in the colored spots too. Thank you for suggesting it could be a fungus similar to what you experienced. I’ve been spraying a Mode 3+11 for three seasons now. I wonder if this unused Mode 7 Exteris that I bought in March would be effective for the type you suggest I could have.
