First Batch Of Home Grown Salsa...

Post by TN Hawkeye » Mon Jul 08, 2019 8:39 am

Our tomatoes finally started turning and we got enough to make salsa. We like ours more like pico de gallo than actual salsa I guess. The tomatoes, jalapenos, mild banana peppers, bell peppers, onions, and hot banana peppers all fresh picked yesterday afternoon. Store bought cilantro, lime juice, corn, and black beans. I'm in heaven right now.

I may not have the best lawn and I may not have a clue what I’m doing but that’s pretty much all I have to say.

That looks good! Our tomato plants are about 2 feet tall with 6 flowers on them. So jealous of your growing season.

Our tomatoes are definitely starting to ripen. Only problem is that the birds are as excited as we are. We find several a day that have been pecked. Still have plenty to pick for salads though. I love this time of year.
