I know the weeds are crazy, but don't give up. This was my lawn last year, infested with Florida Pusley about a month after seeding. And what it looks like now.

Thanks! Now if the sun would ever come out again . . . maybe I'd see some progress.

Having just read the thread/topic from when you started I was feeling a little down about just overseeding my backyard (15000 sq ft) with Maya Bermuda. Seems like I may have to temper my expectations as to the timeliness of the 'finished' project but yours is looking really good right now and would expect it to continue to improve.

Being it that I just seeded my 1-1/2 acre lawn with Blackjack Bermuda April-27th I really needed that inspiration, I have many questions but I wont ask them all at one time but here are a couple I hope you can answer; ex. When do I need to fertilize again as I did put down starter when I seeded along with some revive organic fertilizer/soil amendment, also when should I do my first cutting some seedlings are 3-4 inches and some are still germinating?

Ps I live in central/East texas

I cut mine when it was a few inches tall I think? I used my manual push reel so very light and no suction or anything. Fertilizer, depends how much N/P/K you already put down. 1 pound of N per month is what I strived for...more than that just pushed weak stringy growth that was prone to fungus, insects, etc. How much of the others depends on your soil and what it needs.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this!
Exactly what I needed to read after frowning at my newly-seeded front yard for a solid ten minutes this morning!
