Automower Questions

Post by Jason05216 »

My family has a house at the Lake of the Ozarks. We have about 4500 sq ft of lawn there. Usually mow it with a Toro pushmower. The issue is when one of us doesn't get down there every weekend and get the lawn mowed it gets to be kind of a mess. I would like to get an automower for that lawn so we can keep it mowed better.

Would an automower work in this type of situation where no one would be monitoring or checking it daily?

There is a sidewalk that bisects the lawn. Would that be an issue? The walk is level with the lawn.

We have low voltage lighting lining the sidewalk. Would the something need to be done to protect those fixtures?

Automower would work great for those situations. When installed well, it’s a set it and forget it. Change the blades every once in a while is about it (once every few weeks if you’re picky, some go months).

There are a few considerations to make on which model. If you have any steep slopes then you may consider the four wheel drive models.

Sidewalk shouldn’t be an issue, but the wheels may wear out slightly faster. A professional installer can handle all that. Autmow.com is great.
