Overwatering/Seed Rot

Post by Scagfreedom48z+ » Fri Sep 13, 2019 9:22 pm

I’ve got a spot in my Reno that gets hit by 3 irrigation heads, so it’s getting overwatered. I seeded 8 days ago and the rest of the seeding is coming along great except this particular spot. When does seed rot typically start setting in? I do have a few seeds germinating but I’m debating on just seeding that spot again since it’s still pretty bare.

@Scagfreedom48z+ seeding again won't solve the issue if you don't correct the water issue. You will have lower germination in these areas (I lived it). I gave up on over seeding and counting on the few plants to spread next year.

My mazama kbg took 7 days to germinate. The wet areas down hill took 14 days, but eventually they grew.

I have a mix of TTTF/KBG in that area, would the same potentially happen with the tttf? Just a later germination?
