St. Augustinegrass (Palmetto) Seedheads

Post by ionicatoms »

Should I be concerned if my St. Augustine is growing fast (last 2 cuts were 5 days apart) and pushing up seedheads at the same time? I put down BioAdvanced Triple Action fert 11 days ago. Grass is looking good. But I am wondering if the seedheads are evidence of stress?

Don't get too worked up about the seed heads. It's normal reaction to stress. Just like humans, grass is stressed by change so just the change in weather will cause it to send out seed heads I think it is totally normal this time of year in Florida.
