Yellowing grass and damaging grass

Post by sowmyans »

Hello Experts,

Some parts of my lawn are getting yellow and it seems damaging the grasses. The pictures are attached. Is it fungus?

I can see an overgrown grass that is wet. Weather? Or you water frequently. If one or the other and this spot appeared lately that may be fungus. I also see Poa A seed heads on pic 2 top right corner. How bad is the infestation? Some of the blades show signs of fungus IMO.

I am in northern NJ too and am seeing similar. I think mine is drought stress since we had not gotten much rain recently and I was asleep at the wheel not watering.

@john5246 Click on the pictures, it opens in original resolution. Zoom in. I did not need to do that.
